I was born
in 1969 and grew up in a small mountain town in eastern Pennsylvania.
After graduating from DeSales University in 1991, I subsequently
attended Harvard Law School and earned my Juris Doctorate in 1994.
After living
in the Boston area for a number of years, I moved to Raleigh in
2001. My husband, Tom, and I bought our first home in Raleigh in
2003, where we live with our two cats, Max and Sam.
I am a non-denominational,
interfaith, ordained minister in the Church of Universal Ministries
and in the Essene New Life Church.
For me, "nondenominational
interfaith" means that no one particular faith is any more
or less relevant than another. I believe that at their foundations,
most religions and philosophies share fundamental principles and
values. Therefore, I make every effort to honor the many belief
systems and backgrounds that are found in the diverse community
of the Triangle area. Providing that it brings harm to no one and
no thing, I respect whatever path each person has chosen to walk
in this life.
I have become
involved in developing a more holistic approach to life. I am a
Second Degree Reiki practitioner, and I became a licensed Holistic
Massage Practitioner in May, 2003. I love to teach people natural
ways to be healthy, happy, at peace, and full of energy!
I am also a
handwriting analyst. For more information, please visit my website,
Analyze My Handwriting.
Recently, I also became a Certified Laughter Leader with the World
Laughter Tour.
In the summer
of 2007, I decided to change my first name from Patty to Tricia
(both coming from my full name, Patricia). I think that life is
more fun if you change things up once in awhile!
